There are 3 things famous about Coniston – the Lake, the beer and the Old Man. We named the room after the Old Man of Coniston, a massive fell that overlooks the Lake and village of Coniston.

You can see the Old Man from the Coniston room, along with Swirl How and Wetherlam, which all form part of the Coniston Fells. The Beer is Bluebird, named after Donald Campbell’s speed boat which ran many times on Coniston water and eventually claimed his life there. Coniston is also well known for John Ruskin, and his magnificent house Brantwood can be visited.

The room itself enjoys beautiful views, is 20.5sq m/221 sq ft with a king size bed, coffee table and chairs. A small dressing room leads off the bedroom with a dressing table, tea/coffee making and a safe. The en suite has a shower over the bath.
