William Wordsworth's house ‘Dove Cottage’ can also be visited in Grasmere, which is also a honeypot village.

We are often asked about fishing trips in the Lake District and we are very impressed by Predator Lure Fishing on Coniston Water, which is just a 20-minute drive from us at Cedar Manor. They offer a wide range of guided trips to suit all angling standards.

Windermere Lake Cruises - Cruise on England's largest lake

Rheged is not just a museum but also a great day out if the weather turns bad.

And a fun day out in 4x4's can be enjoyed with Kankku based in Windermere, definitely worth a look if you want some adventure

Beatrix Potter is a huge reason why people visit the Lakes. There is the The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness and the farm Hill Top in the village of Sawrey, near Hawkshead.

Grizedale Forest near Coniston is a lovely day out with walking trails, mountain biking, go-ape and loads of other activities
