Online Feedback aka Reviews

So it’s with some humility – being British – that we acknowledge some of the wonderful compliments our visitors pay us here at the Cedar Manor. Tripadvisor and other online comment sites can be both a blessing and a curse – for hoteliers and for visitors seeking advice – but we’re proud to have been at the top of the list for the Windermere area for several years now.

Our guests post comments there, and they also tell us personally about their experiences. And we thought it would be courtesy to share some of these, to acknowledge how pleased we are, and how much we appreciate the time they take to write. And it’s also a tribute to our staff who, we know, go out of their way to make every guest’s experience a special one.

For example, some recent guests said it as an “absolute pleasure” to stay here, and that our staff  “are super friendly and cannot do enough for you”. And this one, frankly, made us blush: “It is difficult to add value to other reviews of Cedar Manor. Within the realm of small boutique family run hotels, this is as good as it gets. The husband and wife hands on owners are charming, attentive and professional. If we return to the area we won't be thinking about where else to stay.”

Some guests pick out certain features that impress them, and as we have always been proud of our green credentials, this one is particularly pleasing: “The hotel filters its own water instead of using bottled mineral water, this is a nice touch and tastes great.”

We were thrilled that one couple mentioned how much they enjoyed sitting out in the sun on our patio, having drinks before dinner; it absolutely does not rain all the time in the Lakes. Guests like our beds and our cocktails, our breakfasts and dinners, and even the minute detail of the starter: “the amuse bouche was cauliflower to another level.”

So to all of you, we’d like to say thank you; thanks for choosing us, often choosing us time and again, and thanks for your compliments. We really do appreciate them.
